The sheer quartzite bluffs of Devil's Lake State Park in Wisconsin are the perfect place for this unique weekend workshop with Power Adventures and Chicago-area yoga teacher Tomoko Horikawa. You will challenge body and mind on this two-day adventure workshop that integrates outdoor yoga, rock climbing, meditation, and Makko-Ho (a Japanese stretching that feels unbelievable after a day of climbing... you have GOT to try this), all in a beautiful & sacred environment.
No matter your level of experience, you'll experience a supportive atmosphere to embrace new challenges, share knowledge, and find sanctuary from stress of the daily grind. This is an outdoor workshop; you will camp in tents, cook over the fire, and immerse yourself in nature as you practice two complementary disciplines: yoga and climbing.
Includes rock climbing instruction & gear, yoga classes, meditation & Makko Ho sessions, group camping gear, camping fees, and all meals. Does not include transportation or personal camping equipment, although professional camping gear and outdoor clothing is available to rent for an additional $40.
Activities: Rock Climbing, Yoga, Meditation, Makko Ho, Slacklining, Hiking & Camping
Days: 2 days, 2 nights
Price: $285
Levels: All levels of experience in both yoga and rock climbing. Beginners welcome!
2011 Dates: June 3-5, Sept 16-18, & Sept 30-Oct 2
